Marymount Academy, a WorkforcePH affiliate for TESDA-accredited Call Center Agent Training leading to TESDA certification, held a Grand Open House on January 7, 2017. This event provided visitors with the opportunity to visit school facilities such as its varied learning centers, laboratories and classrooms.
MSF Careers R’ Us (MSF) of the Workforceph group, which specializes as a service provider of call center agents to Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies joined the Open House activity, represented by MSF Consultant Ms. Iluminda Yap and her staff.
Marymount offers training for BPO/Call Center – related work through its “Free and Competent Program, Contact Center Services NC II”. Upon completion of the course which runs for 18 days, graduates are prepared for assessment and certification to earn TESDA National Certification Level II (NC II).
According to the South China Morning Post (Dec. 29, 2016), “A vast expansion of call-center and data-processing jobs in the Philippines has reduced the need for educated Filipinos to look overseas for work.
Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provides the Philippines with 1.3 million jobs and US$25 billion in revenue. By 2017, BPO is expected to provide more foreign revenue than remittances – the republic’s traditional source of foreign exchange.
Furthermore, the World Bank estimates that BPO revenues could soar to well over US$50 billion and provide some 2.6 million jobs by 2020.”
